Vision

Inspire a culture of collaborative IT Leadership focused on inter-institutional strategic initiatives to achieve results.

In order to achieve this vision, we will do the following:

  • Plan ITLP meet-ups at national/regional conferences such as EDUCAUSE.
  • Visit each other’s institutions, encouraging the sharing of knowledge, collaboration, and network building.
  • Look for opportunities to contact and meet ITLP members when traveling to peer institutions.
  • Build the ITLP network and leverage the knowledge of the community.
  • Actively seek opportunities to collaborate.
  • Utilize readily used/available tools for social networking.
  • Re-engage campus ITLP communities.

We recommend the facilitators and coaches do the following:

  • Continue to encourage through coaching.
  • Set accountability for achieving the vision statement through our goals.
  • Be accessible and available.
  • Inspire by sharing lessons learned from their life experiences.
  • Support/attend ITLP meet-ups at national/regional conferences such as EDUCAUSE.
  • Encourage the spreading of the culture of trust, openness and feedback in the workplace.
  • Help ITLP members find opportunities to mentor others.
  • Improve usability of MOR social networking site (e.g. improve ease of “friending”).
  • Encourage institutional leaders to adopt and develop leaderful behavior.

To move forward in achieving our vision, we must capitalize on the supportive forces and be cautious to counteract the negative forces.
